Corporate subsidies and bailouts do more damage than protections for workers, change my mind.

Assuming USA, we live under a govt that spends trillions of dollars supporting the interests of large corporations. With that support, large corporations are more likely to disrupt the free market, and monopolies develop with the tacit support of our govt.

I think everyone agrees monopolies are bad and can have massive, negative economic and humanitarian consequences.

That said, I never see anyone here railing against corporate welfare, it’s almost exclusively railing against worker welfare.

Two wrongs dont make a right, but if corporations are getting virtually all the welfare, reducing that is maybe the number on priority, not reducing worker welfare further.
