Don’t be fooled by the false framing of: purity-testing versus pragmatism
The trumpies and mises caucus type people have gone to great lengths recently to employ yet another textbook leftist-style tactic of narrowing the range of discussion in a way which ensures that anyone opposed to their nonsense and abject failures of their political gambit must therefore be unpragmatic.
Now, there are libertarians who purity test and eschew pragmatism in their strategy. But that’s a different debate.
To the trumpies and conservatives LARPing here as ancaps- very few of us care that you supported trump or that you feel we have to engage in politics or vote/campaign for a lesser of two evils…
It’s how and why you supported Trump; your obvious xenophobia and ulterior (non-libertarian) ends and motives and your ignorance of economics and political economy; meaning that you are confused and wrong about a lot of the effects you think your “pragmatism” will result in…even if it were clear that you actually wanted libertarian outcomes rather than edgy conservative or even ethno-nationalist outcomes.
No amount of MAGAsplaining changes the facts that nothing about trumps cabinet picks are turning out like you insisted (and that he is unlikely to follow through on any other promises of decent things), or the fact that his trade, immigration and tax policies are going to be incredibly destructive and are unlibertarian…and that because of you hordes, the very idea of liberty and libertarianism is now connected to trumpism and will become a curse on the lips of generations to come as they suffer the effects of trumpism.
Go wither in ignomy like the collectivist failures you’ve emulated to get your cultural movement this far.
