Cato Institute Director of Financial Regulation Studies Jennifer Schulp is available for interviews ahead of this afternoon’s White House Digital Assets Summit.

Schulp passed along the following statement:
“Today’s White House Crypto Summit today is a big deal for an industry that found itself shut out of the regulatory apparatus during the Biden Administration. Continued engagement with the industry while the Trump Administration works to implement a rational and durable regulatory framework is welcome. There’s a lot of work to be done to ensure that the United States can be competitive in the evolving digital assets landscape. That work is off to a good start, but it will take time and sustained effort to create a regulatory environment that allows the crypto industry to compete on fair terms in the marketplace. Both the White House and the industry must resist the temptation to enshrine any sort of regulatory framework that allows the government to pick winners and losers, which ultimately undermines consumer choice and innovation.”
If you would like to speak with Schulp on this issue, please contact me to set up an interview.
