The old saying about the guy who only has a hammer and thus sees all problems as nails is a story about psychology. He’s let the available tool warp his vision. The same goes for people who see war, or more generally the state, as the only real tool. It warps their vision. We need not ascribe bad motives, just bad judgment, to such people.
