By the end of Biden’s term, Trump and Biden will have contributed EQUALLY to the national debt (therefore frivolous spending), which is almost DOUBLE what Obama did. Does the “Lesser of Two Evils” gang care to explain this?
If Trump is imagined to be more libertarian or a lesser evil than how is it that he increased the debt almost double what Obama (w VP Biden) did on a per year basis, and equal to what Biden (w VP Kamala) did? We all remember Biden’s horrible economy (and im guilty of this same blame game), but if you look at the numbers objectively Biden did the SAME damage Trump did, not more. And then Trump has the audacity to say “If i wasnt a libertarian before, i sure am now” at the LP conference, then immediately pivot to promoting Tariffs immediately after hes sworn in. As if a bunch of high taxes on imported goods is what we need after all this inflation and economic suffering!
Not to sound conspiratorial because i think most of this rests on established fact at this point, but Trump is a known sexual felon who at one point was friends with Jeffrey Epstein (the child raping serial killer with a private island) AND the Clintons, who are also connected to Epstein (and Bill famously to sexual misconduct, Hillary to getting people killed). And Joe Biden is all the same, connected with these people, is known to be sexually perverted, and has a felon son. But the topic is Trump, and he at least has a known criminal record for sexual misconduct.
Can you guys really pretend that Trump, someone who likely murdered and raped children along with other politicians, could ever possibly be a lesser of two evils? How do you stomach this while making these mental gymnastics?
Then people harp on the gun issue… Knowing Trump supports red flag laws, seizing guns and putting off due process, and banning bump stocks.
This all reinforces my belief and my theory. America (at the federal level at least) doesnt have a real democracy, you are voting between the same people! These guys are friends with each other, largely believe the same things, and are doing all the same things to our freedoms and our economy.
How any of you buy this bullshit is completely beyond me. People have the memory and attention span of gnats apparently. Maybe Trump visited the LP because the elites are concerned after the disasterous last 8 years peopled pivot to libertarianism, so they successfully tricked all of you to vote trump.
I mean if youre gonna vote you should vote for someone who actually has your values! And doing it on the local level makes way more sense.
But not voting is the strongest statement of all. Imagine if we could get 75-90% of the population to stop voting. All we have to do is convince them to not take the time out of their day. If people stop believing in democracy than the perspective that the government has legitimate authority will fall apart, and thatd make things ripe for real change. Real protests, real disobedience, real criticism. Not this red vs blue horse shit.

Again, there was no criminal conviction, only liability for battery based on the preponderance of evidence of sexual abuse. As Tidmarsh added, a conflation of civil liability and criminal guilt would be “legally wrong and dangerous.”
