Door County deputy’s quick actions save newborn fawn after car crash

Door County, WI – A Door County deputy’s quick actions helped save the life of an orphaned fawn after a car crash.
According to the Door County Sheriff’s Department Facebook page, Deputy Becker, who is one of the two humane officers for the sheriff’s office, was called to the scene Monday of what she thought would be a routine car and deer crash.
When she arrived on scene, she saw the deer that was hit had birthed a fawn after the crash.
Deputy Becker took the fawn to the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary in Green Bay, where staff will take good care of it.
