« Economics and Everyday Life» How tariffs work: “You purchase this good or service from a ‘foreigner’, therefore you have to pay this fee or you go to jail”. Such imposed extortions make the most value-generating courses of action more expensive, and thus increase prices. I wish that more people would realize this.
