Libertarianism and what’s in it for me? Low taxes with huge deficit is still good.
We have principles.
We also have interests. Everyone take care of their interests wouldn’t be fair if we don’t.
For example, if Elon has 1000 children does it violate libertarianism? No. Will I fought for that freedom? Hmm… I can barely afford 10.
Another is this. What’s in it for welfare recipients to support lower tax. Nothing. We got to understand that it’s simply toward their best interest to vote for more welfare. They’re “evil” but so what? We all take care our interests. Is it evil to be selfish?
It’s like locking our doors. It’s evil to rob you even if you don’t but you have moral obligation to make sure aggression against you is impossible or at least don’t pay. Otherwise it’s just karma you are a victim
As a selfish libertarian, I got to look at what’s in it for me and how more libertarian direction can benefit libertarians.
Low taxes yes
Low taxes and low government spending? Even better. But here is the catch.
You can always buy bitcoin and gold.
Then you wouldn’t worry about inflation.
Basically more libertarian world where low government spending is also low will NOT help you. You already have choices.
No amount of libertarianism can help people that make wrong investments decisions.
If Trump cause budget deficit due to tax cut, let him be. We got what we want. Low taxes.
What about inflation? Well. Dollar is just another alt coin. Any alt coin can drop for any reason. Invest wisely is your first and last defense against any price changes. Not demanding more libertarianism.
What do you think?
