for those unfamiliar- its not even january yet and trumps promise of tarrifs is already pissing off companys, just after seeing this im told all our hours across the board will also be cut around 50%…

id rather not disclose where exactly i work but its a big grocery chain, and STILL ill defend these tarrifs for now, because i know their purpose isnt necessarily to inspire better trade deals at all this last administration already kinda ruined that opportunity, this is to assert to other countries the last 4 years were a huge fluke and the american dollar is going to re position itself, the british euro / pound has been frequently outperforming the US dollar for the first time in a looong time just since the biden administration relied on terrible trade for literally everything we had previously done ourselves- WHICH is mostly why corperate greed has ran rampant as it has and why the american dollar has seriously underperformed these last 4 years and the chinese yen is already in the conversation to be made the new cpi standard currency, i know for a fact another MBA brat fresh out of school in corperate is being bitched at by all his elder rich board members of my company about what dick they have to suck now and hes saying- ‘in order to preserve your fat hundred million dollar salaries and make up ground for these companies withholding their products made overseas we’re gonna have to cut employee hours across the board’- but what im sure these idiots arent anticipating is everyone just fucking off and leaving, maybe prioritize working for an actual American company…

i already know three of our best guys on overnight (3rd shift makes these stores run) they already have other jobs lined up and ill be one of them.
