What are your thoughts on infiltration strategy?

How do you feel about the libertarian strategy to infiltrate the Republican or Democratic Party and legislate/ govern on libertarian principles? If so, have you ever thought of running for office? If not, what do you believe is the best strategy for achieving liberty?
