How do yall feel about litigation

I’ve read some papers on the idea but curious to see your opinions on how litigation benefits a free market economy- for example if someone is hurt by a product intentionally mislabeled. If one can sue to ensure proper warnings it would set a legal precedent effectively creating legal regulations.
